About Us

www.twintiersmenus.com is a not for profit website.  It costs you nothing as a viewer to look, and it costs little for restaurants to have menus here.  If the sign up fee is paid, we get the resaurant online and their menu visible by the hungry customer.  Owners are welcome to contact me at jay@twintiersmenus.com.  I love getting email!

We are a small company right now but we hope to grow.  I hope that we can offer the same growth to the restaurants we serve.

Twin Tiers Menus(TTM) was created to fill a need, (as most good ideas usually are)Jay Young (me), (owner and creator of TTM) orders food for his family at least once a week.  Just like most everyone when posed with the idea of getting food from a restaurant, faced the question "Where Do We Order From?".  He and his family would order from one of two places EVERY time because they had their take out menu.  They would order the same thing from these places over and over with little variation. Great for those places, but not great for the family.  As most people, they got in a Food Rut!

The idea behind TTM is to allow people to see what there is to eat at various places in your area and the prices you would pay if you order from them.  The site tells you where to call to order, what the average price from the menu is, what hours they operate, what meals they serve, and even a link to a map.  You can see the restaurant's menu online or for some places, you can print it out.

I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and come from an art background and have a degree in Animation from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  I found love on the internet when I found my Elmira, NY born and raised wife.  I moved to the USA and continued to work in video game design, (as I did for a few years in Canada).  After leaving the game industry as a full time employee, I worked for a local company doing holographic video design and animation.  I left there and pursued my freelance career with Mutant Cel Productions, a contract based company for digital art and animation.  During various contracts, I came up with the idea for TTM and I focused my abilities in art and programming towards this great new service to carve a place for myself in the community instead of looking for far off contracts.

I am a volunteer teacher at GST BOCES and I operate this website with a few loyal employees.

I hope you enjoy and use the TTM service.  It has been made thinking about the community and serving you as best it can.  In fact, I welcome you to suggest new ideas for the site.  You can write to me by sending an email to jay@twintiersmenus.com or leave a message on the Contact page.

Enjoy the site, and please try someplace new and bring yourself out of the Food Rut!
